Product Introduction


The ultraviolet radiometer is an instrument used to measure solar ultraviolet radiation values. It is designed strictly in accordance with the national standard GBT34048-2017 Ultraviolet Radiometer. It consists of a cosine corrector, UV filter, UV-sensitive silicon photocell sensor, signal output terminal, and structural components. Its accuracy reaches the level of a Class II ultraviolet radiometer.

It is widely applicable in various fields requiring UV data, such as environmental monitoring, greenhouses, UV index forecasting, aquaculture, and skincare product development.

 

Ultraviolet Basics


Ultraviolet rays, also known as "ultraviolet light," have a wavelength range of 100-400 nanometers. They are divided into UVA (315-400nm), UVB (280-315nm), and UVC (100-280nm).

Solar ultraviolet (UV) radiation refers to the solar spectrum with a wavelength range of 100nm~400nm. Based on their biological effects, UV rays are classified into the following three bands:

a) Ultraviolet A band: Wavelength range is 315nm~400nm. This band has weaker biological effects, mainly causing pigmentation.

b) Ultraviolet B band: Wavelength range is 280nm~315nm. Approximately 90% is absorbed by ozone, water vapor, oxygen, and carbon dioxide. This band has a significant impact on the human body. Moderate exposure can treat and prevent rickets, but prolonged exposure may damage the skin and eyes, and even cause skin cancer, cataracts, and a decline in immune system function.

c) Ultraviolet C band: Wavelength range is 100nm~280nm. This band is almost entirely absorbed by ozone, water vapor, oxygen, and carbon dioxide, and cannot reach the ground.
