
■ Product Introduction
The YGY-TRX handheld soil rapid testing instrument is mainly composed of professional soil multi in one sensors, handheld data recorders, and upper computer software, used to measure and record soil moisture (volume moisture content), soil temperature, soil conductivity (EC value), soil salinity and other parameters. It can perform real-time data measurement on features and also read the average and maximum data of features.
The instrument also has a sound and light alarm function, which can monitor the elements. When the corresponding real-time data exceeds the set upper and lower limits, the instrument will sound and light an alarm.
The battery of the handheld recorder can work for a long time under energy-saving conditions, and different energy-saving solutions can be implemented in different working environments, including turning off the backlight, turning off the screen, sensor sleep, GPRS sleep, automatic shutdown, and automatic shutdown when the battery is low.
The built-in large capacity FLASH storage chip can store meteorological data for at least one year; Universal USB communication interface, using the matching USB cable and weather station software to download data to the computer, making it convenient for users to further process and analyze weather data.
Optional built-in GPRS, which can easily interface with IoT software or other software. ■ Installation of batteries
Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the instrument and install the lithium battery in the correct direction and polarity into the battery box. The battery must not be installed upside down (the lithium battery needs to be inserted into the wiring socket). After installation, cover the battery compartment cover.
■ Installation of soil sensors
Dig a pit according to the depth of the soil layer that needs to be measured, then lay the sensor flat (with the probe placed horizontally) and place it in the pit. Fill the probe part with fine soil, compact it by hand, and then backfill it;
■ Connection between instruments and computer software
The protocol of the instrument equipment must be set to YG protocol in order to connect with the standalone automatic weather station software through a USB data cable. Please refer to the instructions in the "YG Weather Automatic Weather Station Single Machine Software" manual to connect the instrument and computer, and record, analyze, store, and export the data.
■ precautions
1. Please read this manual carefully before use to ensure that the handheld meteorological instrument is wired correctly and the battery is installed in the correct direction;
2. When the instrument displays low battery level, please charge the battery in a timely manner to prevent battery leakage and damage to the instrument;
3. Prevent direct damage to the sensor from chemical reagents, oil, dust, etc. Do not use it for a long time in environments with condensation or extreme temperatures, and do not subject it to cold or hot shocks;
4. The instrument belongs to precision components. Users are advised not to disassemble it by themselves to avoid damaging the product;
5. Please keep the calibration certificate and certificate of conformity, and return them together with the product during maintenance.
6. When measuring frozen soil layers, the moisture value may be too low and inaccurate, and users need to compensate. This product is suitable for measuring ordinary loess, black soil, and red soil. Not suitable for absolute moisture measurement of saline alkali land, sandy land, or other powdery objects with high salt content.
7. The soil moisture calculated by this sensor is the soil volumetric moisture content (also known as soil volumetric moisture content), which is commonly referred to as "soil moisture" or "soil moisture". The calculation method for soil volumetric moisture content is the ratio of the volume of water in the soil to the volume of the soil. 0% represents completely dry soil without any moisture, while 60% represents 60 volumes of water in 100 volumes of soil. Due to the limited ability of soil to absorb water, it is impossible to have a 100% volumetric moisture content.
